MORE ABOUT
My Practice
Come on in, take a seat.
I often ask clients this: If therapy with me goes absolutely perfectly, how will you know? This is a prompt to dream big, and to think about what your days, weeks, years would be like without the obstacles of certain memories, thoughts, emotions, or patterns of behavior. If therapy with me is helpful, would you wake up six months from now thinking different thoughts? Feeling different emotions? Free of any particular habits? When old patterns meet new responses, we begin to rewrite our internal world. Trauma, pain, or loss may be a part of your story, but we’ll co-create a landscape where you flourish; transforming difficult experiences into fertile grounds for a rich existence. While the work can be heavy and hard, ultimately I think my clients leave energized and with a new - or renewed - buoyancy to weather future storms.
I am certified in Brainspotting and TF-CBT. I find Brainspotting to be a particularly flexible somatic approach that is powerful on its own or integrated with other frameworks.
I am also trained in and love to draw from: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
I consider myself a nimble clinician; I'm confident that we’ll find a style of care that works for you.
My Clients
I love working across the age span, but have found virtual therapy conducive to helping humans from middle school age and older. With all clients, though, we end up talking a lot about childhood.
My current practice includes mostly adult women, about half of which are therapists themselves. I also work with Spanish-speaking clients/inmigrantes, and adolescents ages 11+.
Areas of Focus
Trauma: Big and small, one-time events, lifelong or developmental wounds and fears
Relationships and Transitions
Anxiety and Burnout
Depression and Grief
Adolescence and Women’s Issues: Mental health’s intersections with stages of life. Soon to specialize in menopause
Telehealth
Currently, all of my sessions are done virtually. I have found telehealth to be just as effective as in-person therapy, with advantages and disadvantages to both. While a telehealth session may lack the energy generated from sharing a physical room, it does offer its own intimacy and greater accessibility as we meet each other from the comfort of our own spaces.
Rates and Payment
My out-of-pocket rate is $150/session.
I care about making therapy accessible and financially sustainable. If cost is a barrier, please reach out and we'll see if there's a number that works for both of us.
I accept the following MN health insurances:
Aetna
BCBS
UBH/Optum
UMR
Medica
Medicaid/MA (most PMAPs, but no Health Partners at this time)
You are most welcome here.
I respect that therapy in an unjust world has its limitations. Together, we will develop resilience practices for life's tough stuff while also recognizing that if you were not suffering the psychological toll of discrimination in the workplace, for example, or watching violence unfold everyday on our phones, there might not be any need for therapy in the first place. People of all identities, races, immigration statuses, genders, orientations can trust that I believe in the importance of their stories and that their lives are to be cherished.
