Hi there.
I’m Lisa Gray.
I graduated 20 years ago from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Family Social Science. After a decade living in and exploring countries outside the US, I returned to Minneapolis to pursue my MA and license in Marriage & Family Therapy. I felt invigorated by my experiences abroad to continue to understand and support the ways humans live, survive, and thrive. In my practice today, I draw not only from my formal education and training, but from the practices I learned in Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, Ghana, Japan, and Ireland for a life of vibrancy and richness, no matter your condition.
As a LMFT, I'm a relationally trained therapist with an ecological, systemic approach to healing: No person is an island. Our childhood, communities, and experiences help to shape us, in addition to the genes we inherit. While most of my work is done with individuals, I see the quality of relationships as a good barometer for personal health and vibrancy. Closeness with others can both hurt and heal us; therapy is a relational adventure that can soothe old relational wounds and inspire deeper connections with trusted others.
I’m glad you’re here.
When old patterns meet new responses, we begin to rewrite our internal world.
I draw from strength-based approaches to grow skills for you to use today,
whether your challenges were born in the past or present.
